Church – San Antonio de Padua P12,000
Contact: Gary Gatdula (046) 4141891

Very accommodating and flexible in terms of wedding requirements. Perfect for couples in a long distance relationship. The church is elegant inside and out. But the event’s place beside the church destroyed the solemnity of our wedding. The sounds were too loud and distracting. We suggest that San Antonio build higher walls to eliminate the sounds from the Event’s place nearby.😊 (See my previous post about San Antonio de Padua)

Reception – The Glens Tagaytay P40,500
Contact: Shane 09255850057 and Anna 09255850059

Beautiful and exclusive place. We got the venue on a pre-opening price and fell in love instantly during our ocular. Accommodating to requests and always reply to messages. Although some of their policies were strict but we were able to compromise.😃 (See my previous posting about The Glens)

Wedding Gown – Amonn Velasco P73,000 (wedding gown with complete accessories, groom suit, 2 mothers, MOH, 2 bridesmaids, 3 secondary sponsors, 3 jr bridesmaids, 2 flowergirls, 3 bearers plus P3,000 OOT fee)
Contact: Amonn Velasco 09175251604

Very hands on, easy to deal with and makes you feel comfortable. Amonn became our friend throughout the wedding preparation. He answers all our queries, messages and even calls back. He accommodates almost every alteration and change request we ask especially for the Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honor and Junior bridesmaid’s dresses. We had our measurements in April but we were able to get all the dresses by December (close too our wedding date, that is why we end up rushing the adjustments). But all’s well that ends well, the dresses were beautiful and they met our expectations. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you and your team success and more blessing.

Caterer – Hizon’s Catering P825 per plate x 150 guests = P123,750
Contact: Shayne Calzado (Account Executive) 09175259430 and Khimberly Fanggo (Planner) 09175954730

Food is great and up to our standards. Flexible in terms of requests and payment terms. Although they need to upgrade their set-up to be able to compete with other caterers who offer themed packages. But we are still glad we’ve made the right choice.😍 (See my previous posting about Hizon’s Catering)

Coordinator – Stat Events and Trends (On The Day Coordination) P8,000
Contact: Muffy Antonio 09176921168/ Alyssa Gonzales 09174667828

Events Central by Anna Winstel Chow P25,000 (Church/Entourage Flowers) + P10,000 (Reception Styling) = P35,000
Contact: Anna Winstel Chow 09178609412

Getting Events Central is one of the best decisions we had. They made our wedding beautiful and elegant at the same time. Thanks to the creative hands of Anna and her team, the Church and Reception turned out the way we imagined it to be 😍.

Hair and Make-up – Bryant Sevilla, Hearty Borromeo and Jasm Suarez P18,000
Contact: Bryant Sevilla 09189910426

Professional and easy to work with. I love what Bryant did to my make-up. It was fresh and it lasted for hours. He also did my hair: an up-do for the church and hair down for the reception. Thanks to Bryant and his team, we were all beautiful and celebrity-like on our wedding day. 😘

Can’t help but watch it over and over again. Truly, they do not just shoot… But they capture memories. 😉👍 (checkout our Same day photo slideshow link: https://vimeo.com/150557935 )

Lights and Sounds – RD’s Lights and Sounds P8,000
Contact: Arjiel Mendoza 09153643326

Two thumbs up to Arjiel and his team. Very professional, reliable and dependable. Follows directions, gives suggestions and accommodates requests. They made our wedding program smoothly with no major glitches.😉👍

Projector – MG Tech Company P6,000 (5,000 ansi lumens projector, 6X6 screen, laptop computer and OOT fee)
Contact: 09189081823 and 02-8714676

To some this may look pricey but it is essential to our semi-garden and daytime wedding. Our guests may not appreciate our photo slideshow and SDE video if we hired a cheaper projector supplier. So we made sure that we choose quality over affordability.😊

Souvenirs – OA Sweets P5,250
Contact: Farah Orosco 09178061877

Farah of OA Sweets is very hands on, easy to talk to and very accommodating to requests. She made two flavors for our wedding: milk chocolate (my favorite) and cookies and cream (Ronald’s favorite). Our guests love the taste and the sweetness just right. And we love the outcome of our personalized wrappers. It blended perfectly with our shabby chic- rustic themed wedding.😊👍

Souvenirs – Stat Photobooth P5,000
Contact: Harley Antonio 09173890008

Photo quality is above standard and they achieved the layout and design we wanted. But what turned us off is that they did not follow our requirement and what we paid for. We asked for Photo Magnet printouts with cute boards or signages as props but none of it were followed. Stat photo booth took matters into their hands and decided to do photo and cardboard printout without consulting us. We were quite disappointed. 😢
Saving grace was Ms Anna of Events Central, who creatively designed the backdrop of our photobooth and it diverted the guests’ attention.

Our Invitation Supplier: Print & Co.

image

I encountered “Print & Co.” last February 20,2015 during the “Weddings and Debuts 2015 Bridal Fair” in SM Megamall.

I was drawn by their display and its affordability. I talked to Mr. Mat Tagle, one of owners of Print & Co., and he told me that they have no minimum number of pieces, they follow no templates and they are very flexible when it comes to pegs and designs.

I got their classic package: main invite and entourage page (5.5 X 8.5 in), RSVP (4 X 3 in) and envelope at P52 per invite (20% discount from their original P65 per invite).

I deposited P1,000 for 50 invites and I added 70 pcs. envelope enclosure worth P350.

Last April, I sent our design peg to Print & Co.’s email account. It was a simple and classic design suited for our Blush Pink Rustic wedding.

Ms. Chel, one of the owners and designers of Print & Co, gladly help me with the look of our invitation. She even designed our logo to have a personalized touch.

She was very accommodating to inquiries and changes to our invitation, from the layout, fonts to colors. Name it, unlimited revisions to achieve our approval.

Print & Co follows one month timetable for printing. In case you want to have it rushed or print a piece for sample invitation they will charge you for a fee.

Here’s a sample of our wedding invitation that we got last August 2015:

Prenup Session in Dubai

From July 14 to 22, 2015, I went to Dubai with my sisters and officemate for travel and to spend quality time with my fiance, Ronald, and celebrate my 35th birthday with him.

In order to maximize our week-long vacation, Ronald and I decided to have our Prenup session during our stay.

Months before our much awaited prenup session, I contacted my former GMA colleagues and close friends, Oliver and Girlie Serrano.

They are both based in Dubai and they are working for companies related to Video Production.

Oliver is a freelance and most requested cameraman in Dubai and in the Philippines 🙂 While, Girlie works at an advertising firm inside Dubai Media City.

Our initial plan is to get Oliver as our photographer and videographer.

But Oliver admitted that he cannot do two things at the same time.

Instead they referred to us Mr. Paul Barrera who is a professional photographer in Dubai and he is experienced in doing prenup photography including Oliver and Girlie’s prenup session in 2012.

We had a meeting with Kuya Paul in one of the food courts inside Dubai Mall. And he was very approachable and open to ideas. He even suggested that I look into Pinterest to gather pegs for our Prenup shoot.

Girlie became our over-all prenup coordinator. She drafted our itinerary, shoot schedule and of course coordinated all our locations. And she did an excellent job 👍 (Thanks mare 😘).

Our Dubai Prenup team

July 18,2015 — the date of our Prenup Session.

As early as 7 am, I had my hair and make-up done in one of the local salons in Dubai. The salon is located downstairs of the Condominium building where Oliver and Girlie resides (and also where we stayed during our trip — thank you Obhey and Girlie for accommodating us).

Since I am not confident in DIY Hair and Make-up, this Pakistani lady became my angel and instant savior (see picture below).

A total of 250 dirhams or 3,000 pesos for the hair and make-up with hand and toe nails cleaning and retouch services.

Although it was a bit expensive (compared to local salons in Manila), still it was a good decision because the make-up lasted the whole day. (Sulit pa rin) 😉

image

When it comes to our prenup outfits, I did not hire a prenup stylist to save cash.

We just capitalized on Dubai’s famous tourist spots.

And I took charge of mixing and matching our outfits 😉.

For the beach look:

Ronald wore Marks and Spencer Short Sleeves Striped Dark Blue Polo over White Shirt, Khaki Shorts and Rayban Shades.

I wore H&M Pink one sided short dress with gold belt and accessories. Matched with Grendha comfy sandals.

Below are some of the pictures taken at the Jumeirah Beach in front of Dubai’s famous hotel and landmark “Burj Al Arab”.

For the City look:

Ronald had Marks and Spencer Light Blue Longsleeves Polo, Black pants and shoes.

I had my black and white polkadots corset top from St. Francis Tiangge Mall and peach flowing skirt from The Landmark Department Store, matched with my CLN gold strap sandals.

Here are some of the pictures in front of the tallest building in the world “Burj Khalifa”.

Third is our formal look by the desert.

Ronald wore a Black Suit and White Longsleeves Polo from Marks and Spencer, black pants and black shoes.

I wore a beaded white sweetheart neckline and empire cut long gown from Cinderella matched with white wedge sandals with green leaves design from Charles and Keith.

I also bought flowers from the local flower shop to add life and contrast to the dry desert.

image image image

Our 4th and final look… The Playful look.

Ronald wore his white shirt, folded his black pants and to achieve a more local look we add a blue head shawl usually worn by Arab Men.

I wore white long dress with colorful floral design from Bangkok.

To have a second look, Girlie suggested to change my hair and achieve a natural look.

We really enjoyed our prenup session and we are very much satisfied with the outcome of our prenup photos.

And since it was our labor of love, I submitted some of our prenup photos to Themes and Motifs’ website and joined their promo.

Luckily, our pictures were chosen and they included us on their top 10 endearing engagement photos for 2015.

The photos were published and released by Themes and Motifs on their “Inspirations for Weddings Magazine” last September 2015. (See pictures below)

Thank you for visiting our wedding blogsite. And we hope you enjoyed reading and looking at our pictures as much as we do. 😍

Our Wedding Coordinator: Ms. Marifi Quisay-Antonio (Stat Events and Trends)

My first encounter with Ms. Muffy was last September 2014, during her guesting in Unang Hirit. She was one of the speakers for our Christmas Gift Suggestion segment.

At first, I thought she was just a supplier of personalized gift items but she’s more than that. When she handed me her business card, it says that Ms. Muffy is an events planner and coordinator — and her expertise Weddings 🙂

So I asked Ms. Muffy if they do weddings in Tagaytay. She said most of the weddings she organize were in Tagaytay because their office is located in Imus, Cavite (favorable to Ronald and I since there will be no out of town fee).

When I checked the back of her card, there is a note with an irresistible On The Day Coordination rate. So I kept the card inside my wallet for future reference.

After 7 months, I contacted Ms. Muffy. This time the details of our wedding is almost complete: we have the church, reception venue, catering, photo, video, wedding designer, invitations and souvenirs.

Along with my mom, we scheduled a meeting with Ms. Muffy last April 9, 2015 in North Park, Glorietta 5 Makati City.

We find her easy to talk to and she really explains clearly their team’s function.

I guess with Ms Muffy on our wedding day, I believe that we are in good hands and we might be able to enjoy our big day! 🙂
